@ Sona: Hey.. ! Good to hear from you :) and totally loved your quote!! Hahahaha..! ‘We should not worry about who came in through the boats, we now need to worry about who came in through our votes.’. Priceless!

@ Latha: You’re not being sarci as you? About inspiring people like you! Lolz.. I can never make out!
Yes, I know, it’s time we take things in our hands and not depend on our incompetent politicians. I do hope this huge public outcry will see more than just politicians go. Critical people who failed at their jobs of keeping the country safe include Navy, Coast gaurs, Customs officials and we should be seeing them go also.

Bravo, with people like you to inspire, i am sure many more like me will get out of our slumber and get ready to do something concrete to make mumbai a more livable place.
What i meant was that with so many attacks and blasts and our own Raj Thakrays running amock, how many of us have really felt so worried about mumbai? its the same indifference that makes our politicians compromise on critical issues like security and safety, education, etc. That's where our fight is not so much against outsiders as against our own indifference about whom we elect and what they do on policies and investments for the state. Its taken an incident like this to even get us talking about action. We need ideas on how we can contribute to making mumbai a safer, livable place

This attack is the most violent terror attacks on Indian soil, Mumbai came under an unprecedented attack as terrorists used heavy machine guns, including AK-47s...
Pakistan is the world headquarter of terrorism and terroriam is a Global issue. We need to come together and raise one voice to eradicate terrorism.
I am of Indian orgin and I am upset and angry and bereft. I cannot lay my head down each night without worrying about the safety of my family and loved ones.I want to sleep each night with an assurance of waking up and being safe the next day. What are our politicians doing? We should not worry about who came in through the boats, we now need to worry about who came in through our votes.
I am awake and will do all that I can be make my country safe. Are you? Are you ready to fight? Are you ready to stand up?

Hey... good to hear from you! :) You know I don’t get this we should first look inside and blame ourselves deal that we do. I mean yes, we were busy making money, going to malls etc… But we give away a substantial part of the money we make to the government, hoping they will do their jobs and keep us safe! But alas… not only do we have to pay them, we have to do their work for them!

Hi Anmol,

You r not the only left without words to express the sheer helplessness and impotent anger we feel when we see mumbai burning... we have been too busy making money, shopping at malls, and splurging on excesses to care for what happens to her...and outsiders and the politicians r having a field day destroying wat the city has always stood for.

Its a wake up call... but will we wake up?

Hey we were shocked to see this on TV. This is 9/11 for India. The most shocking thing is that so many people got so much ammunition into the city into a hotel and noone knew about it. Government intelligence has failed miserable. The worst was ATS chief geting into a gunfire without any protection as if it was a staged encounter with local goons..... sad and tragic but a reality.
