Surfing around delicious.com I noticed your website book-marked as: Hamlet: The clown prince. Now I am assuming you book marked it yourself and wanted to ask if social bookmarking gets you a ton of traffic? I’ve been contemplating doing some bookmarking for a few of my websites but wasn’t sure if it would produce any positive results. Appreciate it.

It was recently playing in Mumbai again and I so wanted to go see it again…. but couldn’t due to other pressures. The play is sheer genius and one can watch a few times over

Thanks for your write up Anmol… I (and some friends) will be seeing the play in a few days in London, UK. It has been brought to our attention and recommended as unmissable to us all here by no less than Girish Karnad (who served illustriously as director of the Nehru Centre here before the GOI reverted to persons from the MEA — and so thankfully had so many of us aficiondos on his email-list). I do hope the theatres will fill out. Publicity is still low profile at the moment….

And today, it was Lucknow! The city was spellbound with the 2 hr performance of these talented actors.
Anmol, you’ve already described the story very well, and I second each and every point of yours. This play is a masterpiece, and is surely a landmark in the history of Indian theater. The mesmerising performances just make you feel like ‘Wow! how can they do it so well?!’, and its difficult to point a single flaw.

I saw this play at Singapore and it left the entire audience in splits. Many of the englishmen felt that they haven’t seen a better adaptation of hamlet even in UK.

I just watched this play at Jakarta – 2 hours of sheer joy.. mesmerising – giberrish, comedy, serious acting, audience involvement it had it all.. the international audience was spell bound.. part of India festival.. a great way to promote indian theater

Thank you so much for this wonderful discription of the play, I myself could not have written it any better. I actually watched the play yesterday at Hindu Metro festival at chennai and I was spellbound by the sheer genius of it.
People who get an opportunity to see this play should not miss it by any chance.
